EMS SUPERVISOR SURVIVAL


You are riding the “Lonely Seat” in a sport utility vehicle full of ALS gear, radios and reference books. This 2-day class helps you identify your role, understand how daily activities can reinforce knowledge sets at a scene and how to attempt positive mitigation of whatever falls into your lap.

While we will be teaching some information on how newly promoted personnel can become a good EMS supervisor, we will also cover current issues that will help experienced supervisors. Each year the class will be different as we present fresh information.

  • Chief Officer's Perspective

  • Virginia OEMS Rules & Regulations Review
  • Tools for EMS success in Large Event Planning & Operations
  • Active Shooter - EMS Response Considerations
  • The 2009 course outline will be announced at the begining of the class. Each year is different, we teach current topics as well as lessons learned from busy EMS system managers.

    The 2009 EMS Supervisor Class will be held February 14th & 15th, 08:00 - 17:00 at CARS. Lunch will be served and as part of the class you will receive a class t-shirt, certificate of attendance & CD with additional information. The cost for the class is $50.

    Virginia OEMS CEU credit has been applied for.
