CARS Rescue Technicians and East Rivanna Volunteer Fire Company personnel race to free the pinned driver of a small car after a head-on collision on Route 22 in eastern Albemarle County. Once freed, he was flown to University of Virginia Medical Center by helicopter Pegasus where he eventually recovered from his critical injuries.
