Falmouth Volunteer Fire Department's Squad 1 is a 1994 Pierce Lance Heavy-duty custom squad truck. This unit has a 10-man extended Lance cab with a 22" raised roof canopy to enable firefighters to dress in relative comfort. There are 8 seating positions with command desk between the rear facing jump seats. Squad 1 has a 400 Hp Detroit Diesel with an Allison HD4060PR 4 speed automatic transmission with retarder. The 19' walk-around aluminum rescue body has 9 side compartments and 5 roof hatch compartments. FVFD uses the Amkus hydraulic tool system & Hurst high and medium pressure air bag system. In addition to a complete set of rescue tools and appliances, this truck contains the following:
- 6-bottle 6000 psi air cascade system
- Wilburt 6-25 telescoping light tower with 6 Kw of lights
- Winco 25 Kw direct-drive electric generator
- 2 hydraulic reels located in a side compartment and 2 located in the front bumper

- 1800w portable electric generator
- FireCom headset communications system
- Rund automatic snow chains

Falmouth is located in the southern end of Stafford County, just north of Fredericksburg, VA
